During my transformation from boy to man, I made many mistakes while fighting tooth and nail to stay away from street activities. Considering that I left home at fourteen, I felt that I did well being on my own. Living in an urban area, I was taught to be in fear of gangbangers, thieves, gunslingers, and murderers.  I watched the streets and tried to steer clear. Thankfully, I avoided a lot of trouble, but I was not taught to look out for the (il)legal system. I was told how dangerous a gun is but not a pen in the wrong hand. Instead of participating in activities that have never defined me, I decided to express myself through art and poetry which will be unveiled during my opening. So, as you view the illuminating expressions in person, please do so with an open mind and heart.

Thank you for your time and involvement. Enjoy!
